An online Microsoft Office training product set to revolutionise software training in Australia has been launched by Brisbane-based software development specialist, Seybienne.

Offering subscription-based 24/7 access to the most sophisticated and cost-effective online Ms Office learning modules available nationally, Seybienne’s new product will generate substantial productivity savings for users by eliminating the need to attend group training.

Subscribers – including individuals, students, small businesses and large organisations - can access answers on how to use all Ms Office applications, in modules of only two to seven minutes’ duration.

Seybienne managing director and principal trainer, Bronwyn Coulthart, said Seybienne was the first Australian company to deliver Ms Office training online in such an efficient format, with full flash video and voice instruction.

“If a subscriber is in the middle of a work task or study, and they want to know how to conduct a mail merge in Word, or enhance their Power Point presentation, or create formulae in Excel, they can go to our website, choose the relevant module and have a solution within minutes.

“Other online training programs are primarily offered by US-based companies, with modules that are at least two hours long and feature only screen captures rather than live video of the instruction being demonstrated.”


The Seybienne modules cover Ms Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook to varying levels of competency, with additional software to be made available over the coming months.

“The modules are the first to be created as interactive ‘training missions’ themed in a spy/assassin-like genre, so they offer a practical and fun approach to learning. They also come with downloadable PDF files for future reference,” Bronwyn said.

“With these features, subscribers can master the Ms Office applications quickly and advance to the next level with ease.”

Until 31 December, Seybienne is offering monthly subscriptions for $20 each, giving subscribers unlimited access to training on all Ms Office applications.
